Running RockPod 2009 on a Linux system
As I mentioned in the November 2009 issue (or at least I think I did), I ran out of time to get a version of RockPod 2009 out and onto the cover DVD. However, while I am working on a version for the next UserOS operating system, there’s a way you can use it on Linux right now.
And that’s to use WINE. RockPod 2009 works well on WINE but I do recommend you get hold of the latest version (1.1.7 at time of writing) of WINE rather than use the one in the Ubuntu archives (which even for Intrepid is only 1.0.2 if I remember correctly).
You can get WINE from http://www.winehq.org/.
