New version of Twextter released – now features Twitter search (including hashtags)
I’ve been flogging both ends of the candle in the last week while I have a few days to spare in order to get my Twitter client Twextter knocked into shape before my PC User work has to begin again. I couldn’t handle the way that most clients used such narrow tweet lists especially on my netbook computer so I figured the best way to get around the problem was to roll my own.
The latest Build 0.1.27 update has been released for Windows and Linux and now has a pretty decent list of features:
* See all 20 latest tweets on the screen without the need for scrolling*
* Friends Tweets and Public Tweets screen lists
* Remaining Tweets per 60 minutes indicator
* Basic “name, location and bio” information on anyone sending a tweet
* Manual and auto-update on tweet lists – select two to 30min update periods
* Paged tweet lists – see the tweets you missed
* Search function including support for hashtags
* Click-through of webpage links inside your friends’ (or public) tweets
* Your basic stats (followers, following and tweet count)
* Native Windows (2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7 Beta) and Linux versions
You can download both versions now at the Twextter website.

Have been through the February issue of PC User, looking in vain for the file “Linux USB Installer”. Have also trawled
your net articles – again without success.
Could you possibly tell me, please, where I can find this
particular file?
Otherwise I may have a real problem trying to
instal UserOS for Linux 8.10.
Thanks for the opportunity to have a ‘beef’.
Sincerely, Morrell Aston
