UserBench Encode 2009 – on December 2009 PC User’s cover disc
If you missed out on getting a copy of PC User’s exclusive UserBench Encode 2009 benchmark back from the February 2009 issue, it’s on this month’s (December 2009) cover disc – so don’t miss out.
Also, we’ve included the full-version of UserBench UT3Demo 2, a 3D gaming benchmark based around the Unreal Tournament 3 game demo, that allows you to automate tests in resolution from 640×480 to 1920×1200-pixels.
You’ll also find the new PC user Upgrade Advisor 2010 software – if you’re not sure whether your desktop or notebook PC needs an upgrade, this software will tell you what needs upgrading and what doesn’t.
It’s all in the December 2009 issue of PC user – out now.

Loaded YouGrab2. When try to download video, get instant green dowload bar and error 1. I am using Vista SP2. When I turn off YouGrab2 and then turn it back on, there is no update screen. It looks like a good program but I have now uninstalled it.

You needed to right-click on the app icon and choose “run as administrator”.
Oh, well… Never mind.
Cheers,
Darren.

I tried to download a YouTube video using 480*270 but it changes to 640*360 when it starts downloading. The 640*360 is in FLV which I cannot play. Can you help.

If it doesn’t download the 480×270 version, it’s because it’s not available. Not every video is available in every format.
If you need an FLV player, try http://download.cnet.com/FLV-Player/3000-13632_4-10467081.html

Hi Darren
Concerning YouTube video I mentioned on 26 January 2010. I have downloaded this video using another downloader mentioned in PCuser magazine in FLV format. This program has shown that the video is only available in ‘Standard FLV’ or ‘Mobile 3gp’. I have done this because I am still having a problem in YouGrab2. When I go to download the file the ‘Download’ bar does not respond with no frame size showing, but the ‘Total’ is fully green, even if I wait for some time. I am running YouGrab2 as an administrator as you advised. I have received no updates since version 44.
