Windows Vista first-release goes end-of-life
If you’re still running an original release of Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system without a service pack, now’s the time to get your skates on and update that OS.
Microsoft is sending Windows Vista “RTM” or “SP0″ as it’s also known, out to pasture today (April 12 US time).
You need to install at least Service Pack 1 to stay current and Microsoft recommends you also install Service Pack 2.
You can find out more info at www.windows.com/end-of-support and you can grab instructions on install SP1 at update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate
