A. If you don’t have a home network, try a USB file transfer cable.
Provided your computers both have USB2.0 ports, you should be able to get more speed here than you would from a typical 100Mbps (Fast Ethernet) home network.
There are a few of these on the market, including Belkin’s F3U150-1.8M, which sells in Australia for around $40.
